SP&A were approached by our clients JLL to help stage a live webcast broadcast of the EMEA strategy to a potential audience of around 7000 employees across the business. We had already created a successful event in this manner previously utilising the London office in 2017, but that was a fairly straightforward event with the CEO presenting to camera in front of a live audience with full interaction from the business.
We approached this event from a different ‘angle’: as it was to be hosted by the JLL Amsterdam office from within their impressive building, we suggested creating a ‘TV’ style news programme with multiple presenters and ‘performance’ areas.We created an opening VT sting insert as well as shorter versions to link presenters.
The restaurant area within the building provided the perfect backdrop with glass along one side of the presentation space but with different floor levels to make use of. Much of the pre planning focused on how these spaces were to be used,camera angles and the general flow of the programme going out to air.The challenge was actually being able to pre-rig the event around a functional restaurant space allowing for presenter rehearsals and seamless derig.
SP&A worked alongside JLL’s appointed webcast platform provider Blue Jeans and in the early stages we spent considerable time testing and interfacing our technical set up to ensure that all vision and sound on the day was at its absolute best.
